Autumn! Meme!
Nov. 4th, 2005 05:15 pmOkay, it's the memory meme, because I was naughty and didn't get much accomplished today:
I really love getting off Daylight Savings. I know the sun sets early, but I'm a morning person and I hate getting up in the dark. It's so hard to wake up and such a depressing way to start the day, while we expect the night to be dark.
If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad. I promise not to come after you with a SPOON either way.And now I'm going to go answer other people's memes. ^_^
When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your LJ and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

Date: 2005-11-04 10:24 pm (UTC)OK, here's a memory. I loved that excursion to the barbecue place in Elgin, and really that whole drive to Austin, because it was an absolute fucking disaster in every possible logistical sense, except that I remember laughing a LOT. ♥

Date: 2005-11-09 03:47 pm (UTC)OMG, that elevator (when it's working, which means not right now) I think is burned into the consciousness of everyone who comes here. Me, I remember forcing you to eat Ben & Jerry's ice cream out of the container like a good American college student.

Date: 2005-11-05 01:22 am (UTC)I think you might be queueing up in a loooong line of liberal women, starting with Stephanie Miller, the radio host who calls Mr. Fitzgerald "my future husband" ;)

Date: 2005-11-05 01:26 am (UTC)In NYC when we were both a little tipsy after dinner and I was moving my car from the parking garage to your street, and we were listening to My Band and singing along and doing little Eminemy dances.

Date: 2005-11-05 11:45 am (UTC)I guess if it's just about you and me, I remember all those crazy emails back and forth, and the chat discussions about your characters and the plot of EWFS. It sure was fun and challenging. I missed your characters after it was all finished. You always had a brilliant attitude about my comma-Nazi ways.
Ah, the good old days...!

Date: 2005-11-09 04:03 pm (UTC)Gosh, those FAP days. It's like remembering school days, isn't it? And for me while we all have individual relationships I always think about the four of us.

Date: 2005-11-09 02:29 pm (UTC)I remember meeting you for that first time in the west village over coffee and cake (that was the first time, wasn't it? oh, my muddled brain..) and I remember countless meals at the Chat N Chew, cupcakes after a long stroll down Bleeker, long talks about fandom and canon and how they relate to Jane Austin after a tiring day at work, a sunny afternoon drive on Cape Cod, various evenings spent covered in glitter and marinated in Val's cocktails, Holi in the park, movies at the Angelika, lunch at Noho Star, the highly polished marble of an office building lobby, homemade iced tea in the fridge and passion fruit sorbet in the freezer, carefully avoiding the hose for the dishwasher, signings and midnight releases at Books of Wonder, basking in good company before getting on the bus to Boston, a sudden urge to make rhubarb pie, not-quite-baked apples in my tiny apartment, hailing cabs on busy avenues, emergency locksmiths and incredible generosity on the part of a certain JLH, the list issue.....and honestly, where are you going that you need a sandwich?
That and a HUNDRED MILLION OTHER THINGS. *HUGS*
