Okay, it's the memory meme, because I was naughty and didn't get much accomplished today:
If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad. I promise not to come after you with a SPOON either way.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your LJ and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.
And now I'm going to go answer other people's memes. ^_^

I really love getting off Daylight Savings. I know the sun sets early, but I'm a morning person and I hate getting up in the dark. It's so hard to wake up and such a depressing way to start the day, while we expect the night to be dark.

The guest room awaits. :>

OK, here's a memory. I loved that excursion to the barbecue place in Elgin, and really that whole drive to Austin, because it was an absolute fucking disaster in every possible logistical sense, except that I remember laughing a LOT. ♥

Thanks, but I think other people beg to disagree. Anyway, I removed the reference and the icon.

That was seriously the most fun ever, and you know you've found a real friend when you can have a day that goes from one disaster to the next, punctuated by cries for baby cup and pleas for the bathroom, and still be able to say that and mean it.

My memory is of you, Allyson and I riding in your rental car back to Salem from the Sheraton and going the wrong way and ending up driving quite a ways in the wrong direction. :))

I'm terrible for getting easts and wests and norths and souths confused, especially in the dark when I can't see the landmarks. That damn drive was by far the most annoying part of TWH. However, having you guys in the car made it so much less annoying than it might have been! But hey, gave us more time for that conversation!

I remember a certain RP character. :D I also remember numerous, well-thought-out posts of a kwitcherbitchin' nature.

I remember sleeping in the same bed as you at Johnland and wondering why my butt suddenly got cold and then discovering that your rear end contained a heat sucking device and I had become it's victim. Also, am picking you up for Turkey Day. :P

I feel that I had nothing to do with that. Maybe it was a ghost.

I am so excited to see you! Will we have time that weekend to go see Plu and Liss?

Your cute liitle iBook! And burning cds and your elevator and yes.

YOU ARE THE CUTEST THING EVER.

Awww. You knew that was me on the meme, didn't you?

OMG, that elevator (when it's working, which means not right now) I think is burned into the consciousness of everyone who comes here. Me, I remember forcing you to eat Ben & Jerry's ice cream out of the container like a good American college student.

his week there was a little article about Patrick Fitzgerald. I admit, I developed a little crush on him while watching that press conference where he stood there and didn't really answer any questions. Thanks to the article, I see that he is only a bit older than I, and unmarried. Therefore I will be decamping to DC in order to profess my love

I think you might be queueing up in a loooong line of liberal women, starting with Stephanie Miller, the radio host who calls Mr. Fitzgerald "my future husband" ;)

I thought your icon and your post were wonderful. Mr. Fitzgerald has a lot of admirers, including me (too bad I'm already married).

Okay, random:

In NYC when we were both a little tipsy after dinner and I was moving my car from the parking garage to your street, and we were listening to My Band and singing along and doing little Eminemy dances.

I feel like so many of my best memories with friends happen in cars. I'm not sure why this is so but it so often IS, like when I came out for my birthday and we were riding around.

I remember learning about the joys of role-playing, with you as a fellow Gryffindor showing me the ropes. That was some of the most fun I've EVER had on-line. I remember sitting around at Nimbus 2003 chatting with you.

So this one isn't so much about you and me, but I still get a silly grin on my face when I remember the fabulous way you described the My Little Pony wank at the room party at TWH. *grins*

See, what I remember is discovering the whole Duran Duran connection in the car with Carrie and Crystal heading back over to Danvers.

However, the My Little Pony wank is, in fact, almost the best wank ever, second only to the invasion of the ST:TNG rpg by a bunch of furries.

That whole thing with the noreaster and watching Ocean's Eleven and you putting up with me when I forgot to pack pajamas again. I think that was also the time I got my ass kicked in Trivial Pursuit. *facedesk*

I used to forget to pack pjs all the time, but now that so many of my friends are married I remember to bring them!

Goodness! Where would I start! I remember the fun of beta-ing EWFS and the thrill of seeing it succeed so spectacularly. I remember the craziness of the FAP Gryffie CR with you, Femmey and Ely. I remember the birth of the Muses and the E!vil Pinks.

I guess if it's just about you and me, I remember all those crazy emails back and forth, and the chat discussions about your characters and the plot of EWFS. It sure was fun and challenging. I missed your characters after it was all finished. You always had a brilliant attitude about my comma-Nazi ways.

Ah, the good old days...!

Dude, I am roaming the earth for a new comma-Nazi! I know what my weaknesses are!

Gosh, those FAP days. It's like remembering school days, isn't it? And for me while we all have individual relationships I always think about the four of us.

Dinner with you, John and Amanda on the Friday Amanda arrived in NYC. I believe we blew off a birthday party I was supposed to attend because it was your birthday too and we thought you were more fun. :D

Gosh, was that really 3 years ago? Time flies, doesn't it?

Alarming is a good word for it. I'm trying to pretend I haven't reached the down side of my 40s. Without much luck. :)

I remember sitting around in room 413 at TWH, discussing My Little Pony Wank and F_W and how lame some people are, and thinking "why on earth didn't I realize how much fun Clio was before now?" Hee. <3

We kept meeting in these enormo fandom meet ups and while TWH was certainly that, that final night seemed smaller somehow. Refined down to the essence or something.

You also = fun!

What else could I possibly mention but that fateful night with Val, Ziggy, and the Norwegian guy? ;)

How nice you were the first time Tab and I ever went to New York, and when you loaned us your MoMA card. I was just thinking about that the other day, actually.

OH, goodness, where to even begin? :D

I remember meeting you for that first time in the west village over coffee and cake (that was the first time, wasn't it? oh, my muddled brain..) and I remember countless meals at the Chat N Chew, cupcakes after a long stroll down Bleeker, long talks about fandom and canon and how they relate to Jane Austin after a tiring day at work, a sunny afternoon drive on Cape Cod, various evenings spent covered in glitter and marinated in Val's cocktails, Holi in the park, movies at the Angelika, lunch at Noho Star, the highly polished marble of an office building lobby, homemade iced tea in the fridge and passion fruit sorbet in the freezer, carefully avoiding the hose for the dishwasher, signings and midnight releases at Books of Wonder, basking in good company before getting on the bus to Boston, a sudden urge to make rhubarb pie, not-quite-baked apples in my tiny apartment, hailing cabs on busy avenues, emergency locksmiths and incredible generosity on the part of a certain JLH, the list issue.....and honestly, where are you going that you need a sandwich?

That and a HUNDRED MILLION OTHER THINGS. *HUGS*

HUGS. My goodness! So many things! See what I said, so many things!
