May. 30th, 2002 02:18 amYour friend and mine, John Walton, is being provocative. Read now, but be warned. And if you do read, make sure you read the comments. Go John for making everyone think and debate over such important issues. Me, I was quoted, and even if taken slightly out of context, go me! as there were 50 comments and he only quoted a few. (OK, that was extraordinarily onanistic, but oh well.)
Speaking of John, he's the one who got me hooked on Boy Meets Boy, and I am proud to say that in less than one week, I managed to read all of them. I am a Cy/Skids shipper! Now, to get everyone else hooked on Sifl N Olly. Soon, all the cool kids will be saying, Crescent Fresh!
And this leads to another thing, vaguely related to BmB, and John, and HP fanfiction. WHAT is the obsession with smooth chests? What is that all about, exactly? I don't like them--I like men, not boys--but I think it's highly unrealistic to think that Remus has a small amount of body hair. Please, people.
I just sent EWFS Chapter 2 into FA, so it should be up shortly. I will be a good girl this weekend and post-beta Ch 3&4 and try to get them up as soon as possible. Meanwhile, I wrote an O&P fic that started as a cookie but grew rapidly, and an interesting start to a future sequel to EWFS. God bless the betas, is all I can say. And as soon as chapter 2 is up, the usual "thanks for reviewing" owls go out. Want an owl? Review the fic. Muses excluded, of course. They've heard enough about it by now.
Very strange thing happened tonight. I hadn't been by the Gryff CR on FAP in quite a while, so I dropped in, and I had been discussed in abstentia! It was a little weird. People were discussing my fic, and I wasn't even making them do it! What is THAT all about? Were I more coherent, I'd write more about my treatise on fame, but it's late. Very late.
So let's say yay, that we live in a time where ideas are openly discussed, and then yay that we can choose to opt in or out of said debates, and that we are mature enough to behave properly in such circumstances.
Cheers,
Clio
