new look!

Go check out help_haiti if you'd like to help with a fandom auction/fundraising thingy. I'm sure most of you have heard about the other ways to give by now.

Anyway, and I don't think it's tied to the new year because I rarely feel like this about the new year, I've been making some changes. Door closes/window opens, so the end of trying to join main Idol fandom has lead to my plunging much more into Trek fandom, and I'm on team_jones (ugh, I know, portmanteau, I'll still say K/Mc) for the st_respect Ship Battle (no really, it's been the opposite of wanky thus far and I'm cautiously optimistic). We had a mini friending meme and I'm always so shy on those huge ones, never mind that they always seem to start at like, midnight or something so I don't see them until the next morning and I'd end up on page 10 of the comments.

So today I friended a pile of K/Mc types on LJ and they friended me back, and I thought, well, time to do some things with my info page I'd been meaning to do, and along the way I changed my layout as well. The happy kitty did me well for a long time, and now I have a happy bird, and a layout called "early morning" which, come on, I had to take!

It's strange to have a fic journal here, and not one on LJ. Anyway, I posted fic today.

Takes One to Know One. American Idol: Ryan Seacrest/Simon Cowell, R, 16,000 words. Someone is using Simon Cowell's old methods to steal jewelry from the wealthy summering in the south of France, and only he has the skills to work out who is doing it and stop them before the police send him to jail instead. And rich young American Ryan Seacrest is a distraction he can't afford. (Based on the film To Catch a Thief.)
