A hodgepodge for a Tuesday evening:
Friends, gotta admit, I'm vaguely annoyed that there's an![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
au_bigbang because I've already started a Kirk/McCoy AU that will probably be something like 55k words, and 10k are written, so I can't put in for this big bang. I'm a little ashamed of my pettiness! I will have to ask for art for my birthday, and be a good girl to deserve it.
Anyway, you may have tuned in to hear me talk about Idol, but I never talk about the auditions. Recaps and polls start at the semi-finals, and my thoughts will start around Hollywood Week. It's taping right now—isn't it usually in the fall? Do you think that's to accommodate Simon's schedule because he had to run off to XFactor last year?
As for Simon's departure, I'm pretty philosophical about it. All good things must end, and I'd rather they go out with their heads held high than slink out in low ratings city. I find I'm all about endings lately. Doors close, windows open, etc, etc, etc. Not making any big pronouncements about what I'm writing because you never know, but I'm glad I was planning on writing some earlier stuff anyway.
How great was HIMYM? SO GREAT. Also Castle with Ryan and Esposito agreeing that Nick is the coolest Jonas brother.
Oh, and omg, the Globes on Sunday! Later I may post about some movies I saw.
