A study in contrasts
Aug. 25th, 2004 01:10 pmSo I'm watching the Olympics last night with D, who is gay, and C, who is straight. And yes, D and I gave appropriate, aww, he's cute and has nice hair, to that Canadian diver. But after reading acres and acres of vaguely slashy but overtly pervy odes to swimmers on my flist, I was very surprised to hear this from the two of them.
We were watching tape of Kerri Walsh and Misty May celebrate their gold medal victory in beach volleyball—and I don't know if anyone has seen this or was paying attention, but first Kerri smacks Misty on the ass, and then Misty hugged Kerri and they flopped down into the sand, with Misty on top:
( ah, the femslash )
I thought their eyes were going to bug out of their heads! The boys were making all these slashy comments during the interview after as well.
Hmm, didn't see anything about that around here. What, do we not like girls in bikinis hugging in the sand?
Oh, and Huntington was great, much much fun there, and we're going for a drive today.
