Wheee! (wedding)

So, yesterday I had a business trip, but on the way down, I read Tithe! Or rather, read most of it as I had started it earlier. LOVED IT.

Today and tomorrow I'm off work, which is Very Nice Indeed. Hung about noodle shops, bookstores, and bakeries with gehenna1 and epicyclical.

Then went off for a pre-wedding event. My close friend S is getting married on Saturday to a splendid man, really a great guy who makes her so so happy, which is lovely to see. He's Ismaili, which is a sect of Islam also followed by the Aga Khan. He's of Indian descent, born in East Africa and raised in Calgary. So tonight, we girls gathered at S's house, with her mom, sis and soon-to-be inlaws to get mehendi, or henna "tattoos". I got some designs around my wrists and ankles that look really cute. S got her hands and arms done, and they're so beautiful. ^_^ We also drank a great deal of wine and had some excellent Indian food. Fantastic evening all around.

Tomorrow, errands and sleep.

Clio's boys

Good news:

D is here all week! So he will get to meet the Amoeba in most of its glory.

C is definitely coming next weekend, as he has a tryout for a band here on Friday. He is determined to cook for the Amoeba, likely on Saturday night.

Two out of three boys in one week! And it would have been three out of three if P didn't have to work because his practice has gone all nutty.

And, just one day trip for business next week! Life is pretty good, I think. Except, I HATE insurance companies, with a deep and t00by passion.
