jlhI don't have a rainbow icon so I'll just use David and Keith. Only in New York, kids (as Cindy Adams likes to say): Tomorrow we'll have the pride parade and Billy Graham. Sublime to the ridiculous, and you can guess which I'd say is which.
Today I was working on a story and had to cut a sequence of dialogue to help the flow, but I really liked the sequence itself. I pasted it into another window and realized it worked pretty damn well as a stand-alone drabble. titanic_days. Sasha, as you'll see, I could only find the March/April issue and was vexed.
“Remember that piece in Intersection about Paris Dakar?” Harry asked, a bit breathless over such a long sentence.
“I do.”
“I was thinking, maybe we could try it.”
Draco blinked. “Harry?”
“Yes?”
“You want to enter the Paris Dakar rally?”
“Yes.”
“And drive across the Sahara?”
“Yes.”
“And you’re telling me this now?”
“Yes.”
“While we’re fucking?”
“Yes.”
“To keep from coming?”
Harry ducked his head down, then looked up through his eyelashes. “Well, yes.”
“Harry, we’ll do this again, I promise,” Draco moaned. He sighed, then swallowed hard. “Just let go.”
Harry licked his lips. “You first,” he whispered.
