Gays on soaps!

Just got this from a coworker of mine and thought it massively post-worthy. Bracketed [comments] are my own additions for clarity:

Though you may not watch One Life To Live [an American daytime soap opera], a major character has been exposed to have a same-sex lover. An online poll is asking viewers to express their opinion to help ABC determine if this is acceptable or not (for revenue dollars of course). Right now, Gays are losing the poll, and it needs your help. Please vote here and pass this on to at least 10 gay friendly folks. Let's finally open the soaps to a permanent gay character!

Back in the early 90s Ryan Phillipe played Billy on One Life to Live, who was revealed to be gay. I believe he was the first openly gay character on a soap opera, so bravo to them for again stepping up with this again. The poll is kind of not on, though.

Actually, it looks like the poll is not actually on the show's site. It's on the About.com fan site.
