We were talking as she was coding for AT when we realized that you could make a fic sound really bad with the wrong summary. Hence, a listing of bad summaries for good fics. Cookie in the ship of your choice or summary for fic of your choice if you can name all the fics and books being referenced. Some of them are gimmies, but some are toughies. Neither of us could do it.
But we did chat about other things, like
Manticora 42: is *long* to code by hand
jlhgryff: as opposed to what?
Manticora 42: as opposed to it being done magically by computer elves
jlhgryff: ah. are those elves related to the keebler elves, or are they just in the same union?
Manticora 42: nope, are related to house elves
Manticora 42: possibly same union, except house elves don't have union, so pro'lly not
jlhgryff: what about those shoemaker elves?
jlhgryff: well, there's that SPEW thing.
Manticora 42: oh, well yeah, there are the shoemakers, they're pro'lly related. and SPEW doesn't quite count. would be a union except none of the elves will join it
jlhgryff: well, that's just like the early days of the UAW.

Manticora 42: so then pro'lly is the same unionn
Manticora 42: I'll bet the keebler elves have all joined spew
