I ♥ Huckabees!
Nov. 14th, 2004 01:23 amWent out tonight to see a movie (
maybethemoon, sorry, my connection went down after I got out of the shower and I was running late to meet with people but I do want to talk to you so I hope we can tomorrow) and man, I loved it! It was great and I feel all good and cheerful at a really deep level! I totally recommend it, but you have to be receptive to it, I think, to really like it, or else you will completely hate it and lose patience with it. The two people sitting next to us got up and walked out. But I give it a big thumb up!
By the way, I tried to watch Somethings Gotta Give a few nights ago and I could. not. watch. it. I think I have issues with baby boomers. God, white people older than about 50 are so white, I don't care how much Motown they listen to. I found both the Jack Nicholson and the Diane Keaton characters to be so annoying I didn't care what they did. Actually, scratch that—I found nearly every character annoying. They were all white, upper middle class, well educated, from New York or nearto it, and that's such an annoying, insular world. Even the swells in The Philadelphia Story were less snobby than this. Thumb way down.
RIP, ODB.
