I'm in one of those moods where you have no attention span and yet feel anxious about the things you need to get done. In a moment I am going to get up and load the dishwasher because that's an easy thing to check off the list, and then make myself a grasshopper to take the edge off.

Meanwhile, your suggestions please. I see that there is a Draco/Ginny feast contest, and as it happens I have an old, unfinished comic fic about Draco learning to cook (first from Molly, then an expert) and then cooking an Italian feast for the Weasley clan. But I'm not sure what aspect to focus on, and I don't want to make this The Epic Saga of Draco Malfoy in the Kitchen. So.

I chose B because there could be minor references to the cooking lessons *as* he is cooking, ie "Molly (or his professional instructor) hadn't ever mentioned that THIS could happen" or "He remembered so-and-so's admonition about X".

And I understand about the can't-concentrate-but-hate-work-piling-up feeling. Hope the grasshopper helps.

That's a really good idea. Dunno if you'd guessed, but this is that Weasley Wives fic that I'd sent to you quite a while back. I'm pulling some of the exposition out of the front, trimming it up, and I have to say I'm inclined to agree with you--watching him learn could be tiresome, but watching him cook could be fun. Sort of the end of Good Fellas meets Big Night with the whole pulling down the arrogant one thing going on as well.

I was actually thinking of your Weasley Wives when I saw the poll, although I wasn't sure if this would be part of the same universe or not. :)

Re: the icon. Aside from finishing a knitting project and doing quick Park checks tonight, I've twiddled online, watched Rachel Ray on FoodTV, chatted briefly with a friend, and am now surfing baby name sites again because we're locked in a draw here and I want to see if I can find anything else. Think that image of Ron indicates quite well just how hard I'm ignoring my checkbook which needs balancing working. *g*

You know how I can over write. This entire fic has always been overwritten and it needs to get the shit edited out of it. So I feel like I need some focus or the thing will be a million pages long and not very good.
