I am A-B'ing the game with a documentary on the Broadway Musical on PBS. Michael Bennett wrote/directed/choreographed A Chorus Line, actually!
I think that chick with the Crystal Gale hair was the choreographer! Solid Gold did have those weird pedestals to use as props and ended each little dance with a sultry pose. But I'm going to vote for Hullaballoo because they didn't need trashy costumes, and they danced all around the band that was performing, not just by themselves.
I haven't seen you online, la. Carrie keeps hinting you have something to ask me about?
I thought Michael Bennett sounded familiar re: A Chorus Line . . . that he wrote, directed, and choreographed the show would, erm, explain that quite nicely ;))
I loved Solid Gold when I was like 11, 12 -- those dancers in their gold shiny outfits were da bomb. But Hullabaloo has Go-Go boots!
Do you have my correct Y!M on your list? It's perfectly_pansy. I rarely use Slytherincess on Y!M anymore, because I started getting strange pings. I'm *always* online.
Apparently it was! It's so odd, as Hullaballoo and A Chorus Line don't seem like they could possibly have contained the same people and yet they would have been only 8 or so years apart.
As you are a dancer & dance enthusiast yourself - wasn't theirs one of the great het pairings? Even though it didn't last, it produced some killer art that we can all enjoy. Maybe that's all we can ask.
Yeah - Hullaballoo - it's a bit like all those people who came out of the Mickey Mouse Club (or whatever that other Disney thing was, that I am too old to have watched, but a lot of pop-rockers are alumnae) -
Hope you are getting plenty of sleep and drinking liquids so you can get through the Series. Those playoffs were quite a test of stamina on the fans; I can't even imagine what the players went through -
Yep. I was A-B'ing it with the game, but they've caught back up to the 80s, which I watched last night and which isn't that interesting anyway, let's face it.
It isn't so much that they danced together as it makes a certain amount of sense, but, Hullaballoo?????
