Say, fellow Pumpkin Pie-types: Why hasn't anyone signed up to write H/H for the [livejournal.com profile] ship_manifesto? What's up with that? (No, I am both too busy and too underqualified to do it, thanks.)

Also, Cora, should we claim S/D before someone else does?

I'm bored, bored I tell you! However, this is better than being so busy I can't see straight.

There are so many great H/Hr essays and essayists, I am surprised that we don't have a manifesto published.

Alas, I am way too busy to write one up, but I hope someone does.

I'm bored too. I have stuff to do, but it's easy stuff that requires effort, but not really brain power.

I'm so pathetically lazy sometimes. *headdesk*

I feel lazy but I've actually been remarkably productive today and got two projects off my desk and out to the client. I'm looking at our status list and there isn't much I really can be doing, just waiting for lots of information from other people, so I think it's time to clean out the old email box.

Oooo! Go you!

I actually have account reconcilitations to do for quarter end. So....joy. I don't wnat to tackle my inbox either though, so reconciling it is.

It's all rainy and nasty here today, so I'd much rather be curled up on my couch with some Smallville and my kitty cat.

It seems to be raining everywhere. I'd rather be home writing/plotting, frankly, since I seem to be in the groove at present. IN the WIP groove, and OUT of the smut groove, for once.

You just got into Smallville? I think it was all the rage for the Random Militant Slashers about a year ago. Carrie was like, "I watched it hoping for a good het ship" and I was like, "What were you smoking? Lana is the most boring character ever."

I think we need some Wonder Woman origin myth show, is what we need.

I'm totally into Smallville.

But I don't watch it for the slash.

No, really! Stop laughing! I mean....I see the Clex, but that's not what really keeps me interested at all. Nor is Lana what keeps me interested. I just like the story.

And I laughed at Carrie too when she was going to "look for a het ship in Smallville". AHAHAHAHA PROBABLY NOT.

Dude! Wonder Woman! (Y)

Kristen, you could have warned me. I am media under-exposed and flailing desperartely and I find myself practically covered up with homoerotic subtext and I can't find straight fictional people to save my life and instead you drag me into the gayest straight television show on the planet. Yes, Lex and his *ahem* appeal makes up for a lot of that, but now I'm having to go to television drama to find straight people!

And I can't believe you just told Clio with a straight face that the Clex isn't what keeps you interested. *snerks at you* I have your number, sister. :))

It may be the gayest straight show on television *snerk*, but, with my darling S, I have more than enough of Teh Gay in my life. That's really NOT what keeps me interested and YOU know it. :D

I've heard that the Clex is much less now than it was in the first season or two. Then again it might just be that the Random Militant Slashers have moved on, so I'm just not hearing about it as much anymore.

I'm getting more into Veronica Mars, which CC is coming over to watch tonight. Other than that I don't have a show at present, *sigh*

Well, I am watching season one and two right now... and I DO see the Clex. :> I think the "lack" of Clex later is due to the fact that Lex turning into Clark's mortal enemy? :)) Not that that's ever held back the slash sightings, so I don't know. :))

What is Veronica Mars? *ignorant*

Now that I've once again become obsessed with a show, I realized how much I missed episodic television. I like the new canon every week and all. It's so much fun. :D

-blush- Haven't actually looked at the comm, so I only vaguely know what it is, but yeah, we pro'lly oughtter do... I don't know how it works, but if we can do it together let's. Cause I'm brain fried these days. -hugs-

1) You and Cora should totally do S/D--it wouldn't feel right coming from anybody else because I don't know anybody else who loves the pairing as much as the two of you do.

There's a part of me that would really like to do the H/Hr manifesto because I've written a lot about the pairing before and why it's my canon ship and why I think that it would work. However, I feel it would be an imposter's move to do it when everybody knows that it's not my OTP.

Also! If you are bored still, you can try reading the insanely evil twisted free-for-all H/D (sort of) melee that has turned into a drabble round robin (http://www.livejournal.com/users/wayfairer/444632.html). It's fun! And sadistic. Whee!

There's no one on the list now. Tarie has trio, but no one has H/H. I think you should go for it! Or maybe it can be a crazy group project for pp.org? I could contribute but my canon for H/H is weak.

I have signed us up, so we'll see what the mod has to say to us. I have all the canon marked except OotP already, from writing EWFS. I don't think we'd be up until December anyway.

I'm so sorry I keep missing you on IM! I was at work with, like, people around and stuff. :(

y big shows were Sex and the City and Six Feet Under, but Sex and the City is over and Six Feet Under is over for the year, so I needed something new. It's funny, everyone was so worried about there not being good TV and now there are a few shows people seem really excited about.

Veronica Mars (you can see the recaps on TWoP) is a show on UPN about a high school girl who works for her father, a deposed sheriff who is now a PI. There's a huge backstory mystery having to do with the murder of her best friend, and then there are mysteries in each episode. We're only on episode 4 but it's very satisfying so far.

Okay, I went to [livejournal.com profile] ship_manifesto and there is a category for Monk shipping. Monk? Is there Monk fanfic? Do I want to read it?

It could be! I want to claim it now and force other people to work on it! Bahahahah!

-nod- that ought to work. You're much better at the canon stuff than I am anyway, since I tend to just pull things out of my arse.

-hugs- No worries. The whole living in a diametrically oposed time zone thing does that to me a lot. Will try and catch you this weekend sometime if I don't see you tomorrow or Friday.

*AFEARD*

But, one thing my tenure in fandom has taught me...THERE IS A FANDOM FOR EVERYTHING.

I like SFU too, but I haven't ever really gotten "into" it. I do watch it if I think about it though. It really is an excellent show.

I'll have to check out the recaps of that show. It sounds interesting!

DUDE. I think you totally, absolutely should, and I will totally, absolutely help (though my canon is shite, my fanon is pretty good), and you should pimp it on pp.org and make everyone help, and you should get the materials that Zorb et al. prepared for the ship debate at Nimbus.
