What I actually want you all to do is read Spring and All, which is book length and combines poetry and prose and meta musings and all sorts of things, and contains the line: "Meanwhile, SPRING, which has been approaching for several pages, is at last here." So I give you a poem from it; the roman numeral is its section within Spring and All:
XVII
Our orchestra
is the cat's nuts—
Banjo jazz
with a nickelplated
amplifier to
soothe
the savage beast—
Get the rhythm
That sheet stuff
's a lot a cheese
Man
gimme the key
and lemme loose—
I make 'em crazy
with my harmonies—
Shoot it Jimmy
Nobody
Nobody else
but me—
They can't copy it
Am doing grad school things and cleaning up things and plan for vacation things and maybe some plot things and some menu-planning things and I might write the
deamus drabble challenge. This song reminds me of them, actually. I am so very shippy. *sigh*
