Don't you hate those weeks where you work SO MUCH? It's lonely and tiring, man.

However, my buddy D was in town this week and we had dinner last night at this great little place in the E Village called Miss Williamsburg which I highly recommend. And then he gave me the CD's I had chosen from his gratis closet, which were too much to get into my bag but which he nicely carried on the plane with him. It's so wonderful, to be around people and just feel so loved, isn't it? Anyway, this was my haul:

I talked to weatherby last night while she was drunk, and then I had this dream that I was friends with Michael Ian Black and he was telling me how concerned he was about my weight and that I really should get slimmer. Which, I mean, I want to get slimmer and am back on the good food wagon, but I have no idea why I had this dream. I think it had to do with other changes I have to make. Which, you know, I'm making. I also have this weird tendency to, when I dream of my friends, have celebrities "playing" them in my dreams. Michael J. Fox played C in my dreams for years. But I'm not sure that MIB = Rach, at least, not yet.

Ahahahaha. I find this hilarious. I would totally have a crush on my dream!best friend, which would be very weird and strange. Although I think Ralph Fiennes once played an ex-boyfriend in a dream of mine, which was quite enjoyable, really.

I love the Dixie Chicks and think they are vastly underrated. Though I think I lose points for always getting Kansas and America mixed up. It's not knowing the music I'm bad at, it's geography, really.

I love the Dixie Chicks and have their other two records, but I'm not sure they're underrated. They have an armful of Grammys, their records have gone platinum, and their singles frequently cross over to the adult contemporary chart. I think they're pretty well respected even if Nashville doesn't like their politics. (I think they said after all that furor died down that they considered themselves more of an rock-pop group than a real country group, or something.)
