All I've ever wanted, had to get away

So I find myself in sunny southern California for a quick week off, which is more than splendid. Visiting my friend D, and am very excited that I'll get to meet his boyfriend. And my beloved C will be coming out on Monday and staying until Saturday, when I return as well. I really really wanted to give C a vacation; he hasn't had a proper one in four years. I am familiar with the feeling, when your family is in crisis (and you don't live in the same town) to feel that you have to spend all your days off with them, and since C's dad died this winter he has spent much of his time off up in our hometown. So I'm glad he's coming out here. It will be a lot of fun.

Today I feel sort of foggy due to jet lag and lack of sleep — I never can sleep the night before I travel — so I'm just sort of hanging around his place, relaxing and watching Olympics. He's going to set me up online tomorrow, but I'm on AIM now; if I have you friended you can see my sn.

I think I might go on a comment spree, just for the heck of it.
