Okay, that was the dull post with the name dropping and the what-where, and here is the more fun post of vague impressions:

Me dining out once again on that grand jury story

Josh doing the dance of effortless fucking superiority

Rach being pelted with quotes from Ocean's 11 until finally succumbing to a viewing

Chris gamely attending a squee-licious fandom event and subsequent dinner

Moony being shockingly cute even when she is grouchy, and my not telling her since that would have made her even more grouchy

All the cool kids smoking

All the cool kids in pigtail braids

Dionne not being willing to sacrifice her street cred for the sake of our club going

Alex loyally and protectively scowling at me every time I gave Aegy's knee a backhanded slap during the screening

Aegy deserving said backhanded slap with some silly comment or another

Josh and Cassie having a surprisingly shippy reaction to the H/H scenes

Moony and Ali having an unsurprisingly shippy reaction to the S/R scenes

Passion fruit margaritas being surprisingly pink, and Josh and Chris drinking them anyway

Rach becoming shockingly talkative due to booze (we need to introduce her to Val, clearly)

CHEESE GRITS

The look on Liss' face when she opened her birthday present

Listening to Eminem and Queens of the Stone Age while looking for parking with Rach

Listening to Alex's take on The Tribal Rituals of the American High School Senior

Listening to Aegy's take on Dan Radcliffe, rock snob, and what he'd like to do to him

Getting another nickname

Realizing that no one in the world fills out a dress quite like Kristen

Realizing that no one in the world is as diplomatic as our Vicki

Watching Heidi's deep love for pink up close and personal

Watching Crystal try to function in the morning

Watching Rach have a staring contest with Veda

Trying to keep Lisse from sneezing

Regretting that I could not see more changes of clothing from Vicki

Going through a surprising number of clothing changes myself

I doubt that anyone else could have remained as calm, polite, yet firm and on-point as you were. Yet another reason I worship your espadrilles.
