Idol me baby!

Okay, I fell down on the job last week, it's true. Alas poor George! But it wasn't his best week, it's true. I love big band but I thought the songs they chose weren't all that interesting. Also, you know, as the numbers get smaller there's just less to say. But disco this week! Donna Summer as a guest judge! And they had Simon go first instead of last which really changed the dynamic.
Oh, poor Jasmine! I'm so sad they made you cry. But . . . yeah, it's time for you to go. Why in the world they let you sing "It's Raining Men" I will never understand, nor why you thought it would be a good idea. "Everlasting Love" wasn't much better, either.
LaToya, flawless, both songs, though yeah, I could do with a bit more personality. But "Inside and Out" and "Don't Leave Me This Way" were wonderful.
Fantasia, yeah, in what universe is "Holding Out for a Hero" a disco song? You are amazing, but Simon was right--that song was beneath you. "Knock on Wood," though, was perfect!
And wow, Diana. You might make this Jennifer fan feel less bitter. I'm not sure she could have beaten you tonight. "This Is It" and "No More Tears" were both amazing, and really, it's too bad that the average disco diva has such a short life span, because dance is your thing, baby.
The next two weeks are going to be TIGHT, man.

I miss read that as "Endless Love" and was treated to memories of overly cheesy wedding moments. (Also, I now have "Everlasting Love" in my head, just the chorus, with bits of "It's Raining Men" spliced in there for good measure. Just an FYI really. ^.~)
