You know, I always said that I'm not a canon shipper, and now I realize that I'm really not. I love the ships that I read/write, but that's for fanfic. I'm not all asquee over the things in that JKR chat one way or another. But I will admit, it's sort of fun to watch everyone else get excited. Whee spoilers that may not be spoilers! Whee JKR strewing red herrings, or maybe they're not! Whee middle names! Whee canon!

Last night I dreamt of Starsky and Hutch slash that I'm never going to write, because you really shouldn't feel the need to write everything that passes through your head. At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

At some point today I'm heading into work, I'm just not sure when. Maybe I'll just try to straighten up the kitchen a little and make myself some brekkie and then go in.

Man, this weekend is going to SUCK. wah!

*laughs* All that chat's told me is that I'm really not a canon shipper either. But I already knew that. *prances around in the land of H/C*

I hope you feel better. *hugs*

The original Starsky & Hutch? I never saw it, but I have heard it was, like, the blue-print for tough-guy slash subtext. :D

Though I can say that when I see the S&H movie tonight, I'm going to be cross-eyed at the tongue-in-cheek homoerotica. When I'm not LMAO, that is.

I hope you feel better SOON!

god, of COURSE you're going!

They did a little mini-marathon of the tv show on TV Land last night as a promo thingum for the movie. I loved that show when I was a kid. SO slashy, it's almost just a gay show.

Actually, the director of the film said that it was really structured as a romantic comedy, with all the same "beats", except without the sex. I'm really looking forward to seeing it, especially Snoop as Huggy Bear. And I had forgotten about that damn sweater Starsky wore!

Hee. I read an article about the movie the other day, and one of the actors from the original show was saying how much more serious the original show was, and how special the relationship between the original Starsky & Hutch was because they were "active in every part of each other's lives, they did everything together" and they weren't afraid to hug each other...etc. So I'm definitely seeing what you're saying about the gay show; that's not buddy cops, that's life partners, man!

And yeah, even Owen Wilson described it as having the same beats as a romantic comedy. LOL. (Actually, he drew a connection between buddy movie plots and romance plots, saying that they generally have the same beats. No wonder buddy flicks are so subtexty; it's in the architecture. :)

Snoop! Have you seen the trailers? He looks hilarious. "I know some people who know some people who stole some cars." *rolls* I don't really know if this movie will make a lot of sense plot-wise, but if it's half as funny as the trailers and the cast interviews I've read, it's going to be freaking hilarious.

Will you be unsick enough to go? They do say laughter is the best medicine, after all. ;) *sends infusion of virtual chicken soup*
