Two years!

smilie117, I remembered to celebrate, along with a mess of others (including my own eccentricfemme) my second anniversary of not-lurking in the fandom! I discovered the fandom in November of 2001, and while I did join FAP while it was on EZ boards—admittedly, I was confused and thought I had to join in order to read the fics, and at that time if you were on the summary pages it was impossible to find the actual fics—I didn't delurk until the move off. I promised myself, after a Christmas spend reading nearly everything in the Astronomy Tower (while telling my friends I was reading The Corrections, which I do own and have started but still haven't finished), that I would post something in the boards after they moved.
And so, I did, predictably in the / forum, actually replying to something Femme said. And then I followed her into the Gryffindor CR, where I metlunasparrow, and where ely709 and fiatincantatum would stop by from Ravenclaw. And then I met ladylisse and tessfawcett and bluebyrd through them, and then of course misscora from the Seamus/Dean ship thread. And they encouraged me to write, and I did write, and by May, just when I was coming onto LJ, the first chapter of EWFS was posted at Schoogle.
The rest of the story, you no doubt know.
I actually spent this anniversary day sending the completed Parvati/Lavender fic, "With One Breath" into Astronomy Tower. Link pending. It will also go to Sorry Potter (RUBY! Need info!) and will show up here soonish. I also (finally, and very late, which is very lame) replied to all the lovely reviews you all have made to the fics posted here. So don't be surprised at getting an email notification for something you commented on months ago. I'm slow, but I'm reliable!
