Back by popular demand.

The weekend, in nonlinear fashion:

Being cold:
1. Standing for 25 minutes in the cab stand outside Penn Station with [livejournal.com profile] evil_erato, [livejournal.com profile] ladylisse and [livejournal.com profile] misscora, while obsessively counting the number of cabs ahead of us, and listening to the dispatcher tell people they'd be better off taking the bus.
2. Walking from the MoMA store (buying cards) to my office (printing labels) on Saturday afternoon as the wind was a bee-atch, let me tell you. However, have lots of lovely cards to send. Resisted urge to get drunk and write odd messages in manner of Bridget Jones.
3. Getting food and booze Friday night in the snow, and Saturday night in the snow. Much snow. Very pretty.

Being warm:
1. Making Velveeta cheese dip and ersatz vegetable fajitas and drinking a good deal of gin on Friday night. Cora is an excellent sous-chef, but then, she proved that a year ago when she helped me make noodle soup and salad before we went goth clubbing with a very made-up Alex.
2. Watching Ocean's 11 (remake), which Cora hadn't seen, on Saturday afternoon and then watching it again with the Brad Pitt/Andy Garcia/Matt Damon commentary. Lisse revealed her great love for Matt Damon. We ate our weight in chips, including Cora, who was inexplicably dipping Cheese and Sour Cream Baked Lays into the leftover Velveeta dip, though she took care to point out that they were two different kinds of fake cheese.
3. I drank an entire six pack of Fresca and a third of a fifth of gin during the course of the weekend. I witnessed screwdrivers being made but did not partake. The makings of mojitos were purchased but I think we were all just too damn lazy.

Being cultured:
1. Trivial Pursuit. Please, someone suggest another board game I can have in my house, as no one wants to play with me and I get all those comments that used to embarrass me in high school and frankly, still do.
2. Angels in America. See previous post.
3. Two episodes of King of the Hill that I hadn't seen. What?

I also participated in a Big Event on Saturday night that I think went off incredibly well, and I just think everyone else in [livejournal.com profile] thatwasthen is bloody brilliant, especially [livejournal.com profile] maybethemoon, our Fearless Leader. Thanks again to Femme, who had to sit and watch me do it, as her plans had changed due to the snow.

I have to say I am slightly disturbed about the Fresca. I thought no one drank Fresca.

Then I will purchase some on Friday and drink it in front of you and freak you out even more! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!

or, you know, not.

Well it's not like it's human blood. I mean, I am not going to go, "Oh, god, you unfeeling beast!" Still, I thought it was just a fact that no one drank Fresca and now my world is entirely off its course.

Cranium? Or that game where you make up fake definitions to things?

Well, Rene suggested Taboo. I have Cranium but I think that only works with large groups of people, like 16 or 20, because of all the team stuff

Eh, chopping veggies isn't that hard. I have way too much experience. I'm almost over-qualified. heh.

The combined fake cheeses create an entirely different fake cheese experience, I tell you. Besides, I'm not a fan of lime chips.

And personally, I like playing Trivial Persuit with you, but then, I've no problems losing and losing badly. I continue to be impressed by your vast knowledge of trivia, history and other.

*hugs and loves you*

Thank you so much for everything, especially the putting up with snow and cold and silly Coras. You're the bestest ever.

Well, you know, I was less watching you than slowly drinking myself into a stupor, but whatever ;). Thank you again for having me this weekend - I must harass you more often *g*!
