Not just thrillers, sort of thriller/drama/horror or something. Whatever, it ain't my list. Have decided I have run out of things to say on the ones that are repeated.

1. Psycho (1960)
2. Jaws (1975)
3. The Exorcist (1973) Eh. No real desire here.
4. North by Northwest (1959)
5. The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
6. Alien (1979) Scary as hell, rather than badass as hell like Aliens.
7. The Birds (1963) Also scary, and more about weird mindless evil nature strikes back sort of stuff. Has more in common with Godzilla, really, than with any of his other films.
8. The French Connection (1971)
9. Rosemary's Baby (1968) And during this, she was married to Frankie. Just ponder that.
10. Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
11. The Godfather (1972)
12. King Kong (1933)
13. Bonnie and Clyde (1967)
14. Rear Window (1954)
15. Deliverance (1972) I just can't work up the cahones to see it.
16. Chinatown (1974)
17. The Manchurian Candidate (1962)
18. Vertigo (1958)
19. The Great Escape (1963) Lovin that Steve MacQueen.
20. High Noon (1952)
21. A Clockwork Orange (1971)
22. Taxi Driver (1976)
23. Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
24. Double Indemnity (1944)
25. Titanic (1997) For the love of God, WHY?
26. The Maltese Falcon (1941)
27. Star Wars (1977)
28. Fatal Attraction (1987) Love in an elevator. Poor bunny. And man, it really plugged into the zeitgeist at the time.
29. The Shining (1980) All work and no play . . .
30. The Deer Hunter (1978)
31. Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)
32. Strangers on a Train (1951) If you like "Throw Mama from the Train" you MUST see this. Creepy and great.
33. The Fugitive (1993) Harrison: "I didn't kill my wife!" Tommy: "I don't care!"
34. The Night of the Hunter (1955) Good and evil. On my must-see.
35. Jurassic Park (1993) I don't actually like monster movies.
36. Bullit (1968) Car chases in San Francisco. Steve MacQueen in a series of turtleneck sweaters. Likely the reason for both my turtleneck fetish and the way I dress Seamus in my head.
37. Casablanca (1942)
38. Notorious (1946) Great, great film, with probably the most obscure McGuffin of any Hitchcock plot
39. Die Hard (1988) Wherein Bruce Willis says unto Alan Rickman: "Yippie-kiya, motherfucker!" Great use of Bruce's Moonlighting persona within a tense action film. It's the original--go see it.
40. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
41. Dirty Harry (1971) "Well, in the excitement I kinda lost track myself." Okay, kids, Harry was an antihero.
42. The Terminator (1984) The original. T2 is also great, but this one is more interesting. Though maybe it's just my thing for Michael Biehn.
43. The Wizard of Oz (1939)
44. E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial(1982)
45. Saving Private Ryan (1998) Would have worked better if Matt Damon had still been unknown but that's no one's fault.
46. Carrie (1976)
47. Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) Classic red paranoia film.
48. Dial M for Murder (1954) Possibly my favorite Hitchcock. Really brilliant.
49. Ben-Hur(1959)
50. Marathon Man (1976) Is it safe?
51. Raging Bull (1980)
52. Rocky (1976)
53. Pulp Fiction (1994)
54. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969)
55. Wait Until Dark (1967) Very much so.
56. Frankenstein (1931)
57. All the President's Men (1976) Oh GOD I love this movie. I watch it every time it's on. When they turn up the music and talk to each other on the typewriter? Brilliant display of paranoia.
58. The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957)
59. Planet of the Apes (1968)
60. The Sixth Sense (1999)
61. Cape Fear (1962)
62. Spartacus (1960) Do you like sausage, or oysters?
63. What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962)
64. Touch of Evil (1958) Such an amazing opening scene!
65. The Dirty Dozen (1967)
66. The Matrix (1999)
67. The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948)
68. Halloween (1978)
69. The Wild Bunch (1969)
70. Dog Day Afternoon (1975) Attica! Attica!
71. Goldfinger (1964) Let's face it, we all really remember it for the theme song.
72. Platoon (1986)
73. Laura (1944) One of my favorite movies EVER. Big crush on Gene Tierney, who is gorgeous. Dana Andrews not bad either. Several quotes from it are in EWFS.
74. Blade Runner(1982)
75. The Third Man (1949)
76. Thelma & Louise (1991) So amazing when it came out, so controversial and groundbreaking, though of course it shouldn't have been.
77. Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) Another really great film, though I'm sort of not caring about T3.
78. Gaslight (1944) How much do you love Joseph Cotten? How much?
79. The Magnificent Seven (1960)
80. Rebecca (1940) Another moment to fall in love with Larry Olivier.
81. The Omen (1976)
82. The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)

89. The Guns of Navarone (1961)
90. The Poseidon Adventure (1972)
91. Braveheart (1995)
92. Body Heat (1981) God, modern noir. Also, a perfectly matched pair of actors.
93. Night of the Living Dead (1968)
94. The China Syndrome (1979) Released creepily close to Three Mile Island. Scared all of us.
95. Full Metal Jacket (1987)
96. Blue Velvet (1986) When he sniffs the oxygen? SO creepy. Never mind the ear.
97. Safety Last (1923)
98. Blood Simple (1984)
99. Speed (1994) No neo if not for this. Also no Sandy Bullock.
100. The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938)

No LOTR on this list! Wah! 83 out of 100 isn't bad at all, Clio, much better than I would do.
