Yeah, vermillionsun did an amazing job taking the pictures and color correcting them--a ton of work for a really lovely result!

Personal observation about color preferences as per our earlier IRL conversation:

Blues tending toward green
Purples tending toward grey
Preference towards more highly saturated on the sheet

Now I'm going to have to root around for access to Color Forecasts and see how these things are trending... thought maybe I'll wait until the bracket is finished to try not to influence my vote.

It WOULD be really interesting to look at color forecasts vs. the results of this year (and previous years even though the methodology was different)!

Apparently I have very common tastes in colors - I only voted against the dominant trend twice. :P

It's weird in the early days where the colors are so similar--it's almost random, I want to say.

A few of the colors were super-close, but most were different enough that I had a definite preference. For me, it can be just as hard once the hues are totally different - how do I compare my like for red vs turquoise, for instance? I like both - a lot! :)

Me too! I think the greens are Thursday, in the final group, but they might be tomorrow.

Early going I feel like it's almost random because the colors are so very close. It's really later that you see tastes actually emerging.

YAY COLOR WAR! When it was March Madness and no Color War, I was sad. But hey, now I am all sick and unemployed and definitely could use the pick-me-up!

I feel like some year you should randomize the colors in the beginning bracket. I suspect we'd end up with all blue-greens in the final four, but then we might get a better sense of actual tastes throughout. Or somehow find a way to "seed" colors...hmm...

Anyway, thank you for running this again, and for the new method! :)

Thank you so much!! Yeah, March was a bad month around here so it didn't happen but I always knew it was GOING to happen.

Yeah, I'm not sure how to seed colors so I've gone for what other alternative brackets often do, which is to put the things that are the most alike together, so the strongest green, blue, whatever survives. But random might be very interesting!
