The opening chapters of Moby-Dick are so incredibly, I mean, they aren't even slashy, they are an actual romance between an unassuming young man and a charismatic spear-thrower who happens to not be white. Seriously, laying like man and wife has a meaning, I'm thinking. (using the s/d icon because they TOTALLY dressed as Ishmael and Queequeg at some dress-up party or another)
