this week in tv
May. 15th, 2011 11:38 pmFor reasons I don't entirely understand, I haven't been able to make myself watch Hawaii Five-0 this week, so I'm just making this post without that. But feel free to spoil me; I have a good sense of what happened. Anyway, one more week of HIMYM, Castle and H50, two more weeks of Glee (and Idol and DwtS).
HIMYM, "Landmarks." How awesome were Robin and Lily in this episode? Robin's analysis of Zoey—and come on, that was so cold, saving that tape of Ted—and Lily's play (Slytherin once again) were fantastic. I do wonder why Lily didn't have as one of her demands that Arthur stop giving Marshall bad recommendations.
Castle, "Pretty Dead." The mystery was pretty well done, actually, as was the Alexis story but otherwise it was more like a run of the mill, other than the Trump clone.
Glee, "Prom Queen." I liked the kilt and the idea that Blaine and Finn and Burt sit around watching sports on TV while Kurt models the clothes he made. I like how Blaine wavers between being scared and vulnerable and putting on a brave face and pushing through, like most of us. I also love Kurt looking at everyone's dresses; it's cliche, sure, but hell, I already wrote that scene, haha. I love the whole weird Artie Puck friendship thing that's been going on. I liked that Brittany acknowledged Artie's apology but stood firm about prom and that he accepted her answer. I liked Blaine mysteriously singing a three-year-old Black Kids song. I liked that they didn't change the ending because spoilers got out.
Community, "For a Few Paintballs More." I thought NBC said this would be an hour? Anyway, it was just super top notch and I really loved Pierce being all Lando Calrissian on them and the last stand of Britta and Shirley.
