So either I've become hopelessly old and uncool (something that's entirely possible) or the Grammys were actually not bad. I mean, Jennifer Hudson making me cry! MIA with TI and Kanye and Jay-Z and wearing Lil Wayne's hat and a body stocking with polka dots over her "I was due today" pregnant belly! Radiohead and the USC marching band! Adele! Dave Grohl playing drums for Macca! (Actually that last bit wasn't that interesting, but I always like seeing Grohl behind the kit.)

Also Ryan hoping for Coldplay on the red carpet, sort of cute. And Whitney, when you get up for your big comeback presenting moment, you can't be slurring your words, and you might have gotten a better wig.

But what the hell, Chris Brown? I mean, seriously.

Anyone else watch?

I forgot to watch, but god, I always hope to hear that Whitney is actually getting her shit together. My first concert (I was 6 or 7) was Whitney Houston and her life is crazy, but I still do root for her. :(

I watched some of the perfomances, and Radiohead were absolutely fantastic. Such a risky idea, but they pulled it of.

And Ryan was sort of strange on a red carpet. Some interviews were good, some... not so much.

I think Ryan deserves some sort of medal for getting through that "I heard Simon asked you out on a date" crap without stabbing someone. I loved Paula's "bitch, please" look throughout. Especially when he asked her if she thought of being in bed with Simon.

Speaking of Paula....oh, honey no....FIRE your stylist.

John Mayer always comes off as a self important douche, but I love how the rapper dudes all seem to love Ryan.

And can Kanye get through ONE awards show without making a snide remark? Just one?

What was this I heard Simon asked you out on a date? I didn't see the first half of the red carpet; I forgot and didn't tune in until 7pm, so I didn't see him with Paula. Or was it someone else who said that to him? Do tell!

They love Ryan because Ryan doesn't try to be like them but he doesn't condescend to them either.

And no, Kanye can never keep his mouth shut, but I'm glad he was there for American Boy and Swagga Like Us.

Ryan told Paula that he heard Simon asked her out to dinner. She said "There is some truth to it....and NO truth to it." I'm sure it's on youtube someplace. Just a bunch on BS for the new season. Paula didn't look really into it IMO.

I watched most of it, mainly because I <333333333 MIA and also because of the not-unreal possibility of her going into labor on stage. ;-) That performance, Radiohead, and Coldplay were my favorites, though I also give props to JT for again demonstrating how to maintain a career.

But man, any of the awards with Rihanna or Chris Brown nominated were awwwkwaaaard. :-/

Also, are we done with Katy Perry yet? Please?
