Reason to be Cheerful
Jan. 7th, 2003 04:34 pmAs many of you know, I am between sagas. Seamus seemed to have taken an extended vacation in Pago Pago or something and had only been coming back for the occasional kick. I think he's annoyed that I've been writing smut about other characters and that MPI has been hanging around. Seamus doesn't think much of MPI, but then Seamus is very young yet, a bit insecure, and definitely possessive of me. He's sure that MPI thinks he, Seamus, is an idiot. Of course Seamus isn't an idiot at all (despite what horrible people who make mediocre movies might think). As for what MPI actually thinks, well, you'll have to ask Nancy.
However, over the New Year I saw my friend P, the model for many things about Seamus (as our relationship is the model for many things about Hermione and Seamus' relationship) and I think that was what I actually needed. Also, we've been doing more online chatting, which keeps him active in me head.
His friend K was also along for the New Year. K is an HP fan who has read the beginning of my story, so I said to him, recognize anyone you know?
K: Who?
Clio: Seamus is totally P.
K: He is?
Clio: Sure. That vague self-centered flakiness? That's P.
[P emerges from the shower.]
K: Did you hear what she called you?
P: What?
K: She said you were vague, self-centered and flaky.
P: (thinks) I'm self-centered and flaky, but vague?
Clio: No, I said you were "vaguely" self-centered and flaky.
P: Oh. Yeah, that's me.
Now Seamus seems to be back from wherever he was, rightfully annoyed that I still haven't finished the wife-swapping fic so I can get ON with things, Seamus-wise. I'm sure he'll extort another S/D smutlet before the whole thing is over. (Yeah, I said another. The first one, the one he made me write months ago when I wrote the little P/O story, which didn't have a home until RS, is waiting to be beta-d.)
So again, what I need to do is purge the decks of the wife-swapping fic (which, frankly, scares me to death at the moment) and a D/G smutfic, write some Seamus/Dean to get the muscles back, and then plunge into Entr'Acte. Wish me luck. Send me cookies. Preferably Pim's raspberry, from LU, or Pepperidge Farm mint Brussels. It's all about the Belgian chocolate.

Date: 2003-01-07 03:23 pm (UTC)Since you can get your own Milanos (and she can't), will likely make you fend for yourself in that department. ;) But, you know, now and then I get the urge to bake. Any objections to homebaked things? If they're chocolate? They even make mint-chocolate chips!
*waves cookies temptingly under Seamus's nose*
By the way -- I saw in an old LJ post that you're going off to the Oxford meet? *waaaahhh* Yes, ok, so I was at the London CoS meet. But I wanna go baaaaaacckk. Am most envious, if you're about to zip off to the UK.

Date: 2003-01-08 10:39 am (UTC)First, yes, I'm leaving a week from tonight for five fun-filled days in the UK, the centerpiece of which will be the Oxford meet. I can't wait. I'm very excited. Let me know if you have any specific messages for specifc
Second, though my request for cookies was a joke, I have to admit, I was a smidge jealous of Nancy when she reported getting brownies from you. So I would request either mint or caramel brownies, preferably fudgy rather than cakey, no nuts please. This request, of course, feels horrifically self-centered but hey, you asked.
Actually, mint Brussels are not that common, given that the grocery stores around here are not that large. There are places I can get them, but I have to kind of hunt them out. I might send some Lu's to Nancy, though--she nearly had an orgasm when I described them to her.

Date: 2003-01-08 09:50 am (UTC)I keep having these meta converstations with my characters in my head because they're annoyed I'm not spending enough time with them. Yesterday your Ginny even showed up in the middle of it to tell me off for writing H/D and not S/D. It was VERY wierd.
But luck and possibly cookies for you, and always love for the Clio!
