jlhTis the season! Certain friends have made it clear that they are the invisible people in my LJ. I admit, I had a bit of an attitude about it, but they're right. Fuck it. I'm friends with who I'm friends with, and I should be able to talk about it. SO
Friday night, went to the Avocado to see Dude, Where's My Car? which![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
gehenna1 has been yelling at us to see for months now. It was awesome, of course. And then? We stayed up until 5am talking. And then? We went home on the train. And then? We went to bed. And then?
Dude, that's really annoying.
Saturday I did some Christmas things and had a Muse chat. Watch here for further information on that. Then went out to a spot near the Avocado and dragged Ali and Cassie to a party. We had a great time, and ate an entire dinner of dip: 7 layer bean dip, spinach and artichoke dip, vegetable dip, California onion dip (that's right, the kind with the lipton soup). It was a white trash theme (though, no queso dip) so we also had krispy treats and brownies and planter's punch. And we talked about children's programming and animation.
Back at the Avocado, we met up withgehenna1, who had been at her own party, and had ourselves a slumber. ^_^ Sunday, brunch and home I went.
And last night,johnwalton made us mulled wine and we opened presents, and had ourselves yet another slumber party here. We all piled onto the bed and chatted by the light of the Christmas tree, and finally fell asleep around 5am. Cassie is really a very good bedmate--we share covers well. This morning, we watched my own favorite Christmas movie, the one I have to watch every year (so of course I own it): Holiday Inn, the film that debuted "White Christmas." Ah, my mid-century soul.
And now? Just ran out to get a present for a friend, and am home to eat leftovers and do my cards and try not to eat all the remaining quality street. (alexmalfoy, wish you were here to eat this big pile of strawberry creams sitting here.)
