So Fox's rumor is that Studio 60 has already been cancelled. Note that the break this week was already scheduled, but we'll see. It doesn't feel like a winner, even if I did really love last week's episode. Secretly, I hope that ABC cancels Six Degrees so I don't have to deal with it anymore. Another show this season I wanted to like and just kind of didn't was Heroes, but I'm pleased for all of your sakes that it's doing really well. Ugly Betty is a break out hit which is really fun to see. (There's also no new How I Met Your Mother this week, as they'd done a killer Halloween ep last year and so are rerunning that.) It looks right now like that may be the only new show from this season I'll be picking up, but given grad school I'm really okay with that. Three scripted shows, AI and PR/Top Chef is really enough.

Oh, by the way? The Flavor of Love reunion show was really disappointing!

I'm also pleased for your sakes that [livejournal.com profile] ladyjaida was online just now, so I could squee with her over some Rymon stuff I saw in the American Idol Season 1 Rewind that's being run in syndication right now, and I don't have to squee at all of you. However, I'll put up the icon because aww.

This weekend I dressed up as Janice for [livejournal.com profile] soupkills's bday partay, for which he decreed a Muppet costume theme, and got a mini disco ball. I am now in possession of a long blonde wig that I feel will be useful in halloweens in the future. Theme parties are love, I'm telling ya; an awesome time was had buy all.

In other news, I've been reading a lot of Starsky and Hutch slash. TV canon. I have no idea why; I think I just needed the escape.

I'm so glad I know somebody else who likes this show, as nobody has head of it in the UK. I think it's possibly one of the best mainstream American sitcoms since Frasier - depending on whether you find Scrubs mainstream - and BBC2 have it and what do they do? They shunt it into a dead TV zone early on Sunday evenings.

That's so weird, since it certainly was a hit here in its first year, enough of one that it's leading off Monday nights now. I adore it; it's so clearly post-Friends in its structure with the ensemble cast and the long plot arc and all the characters being equally ridiculous. I also love how invested we are in the Ted/Robin relationship even though we know by the VO that Robin is NOT going to be the mother of Ted's children (she's referred to as "Aunt Robin"). Meanwhile I find it amusing that Bob Saget does the VO.

Oh, yeah, and it's really funny.
