1. Wow, since when is Simon the reassuring one after Paula and Randy aren't feeling it? I'm not a fan of "Conga" but I liked Paris
   
2. I found Lisa's song to be kind of boring. I would rather have heard her play guitar because that would have been more interesting.
   
3. Melissa, get rid of that pink tank top. Meanwhile, she should have sung Pat Benetar, not Heart, especially since Mandisa sang Heart already. But she was fine, and Simon was overstating his case.
   
4. Um, Kinnik? What are you wearing? Where did you put your voice this week? And how sad are you that the director won't give you close ups?
   
5. Katherine was completely awesome and it's just exciting to watch her and no, I don't have a crush, what are you saying?
   
6. Ayla was fine. I like that song, but yeah, it's like, a right now song which felt a little odd.
   
7. Mandisa just rules me. I mean, she just RULES ME.
   
8. Kellie did well because that is an easy song to fuck up and she sounded great. I continue to not really care about her in any way, but I would be shocked if she doesn't make it a long way.

So I'm thinking Kennik definitely, and then Melissa or Ayla. What do you think?

No, for her "unexpected" thing in the little video before she sang, she revealed that she's a big Hendrix fan and because of that she learned to play the electric guitar, and then she played a Hendrix riff (quite well actually). But she sang some random ballad or other.

There are very few Hendrix "ballads"!! The only one I know is Little Wing, which is possibly my favorite song ever (but only because I've heard about 300 great covers of it - I like the covers better than the original). Did the lyrics mention butterflies and zebras??

No no, the ballad was not Hendrix. She played some Hendrix on her guitar in the pretaped package that played before she sang. Then she sang some other song that had nothing to do with Hendrix.

Paris is always good and I enjoy her. I agree with you on LIsa. And Melissa. And Mandisa rocked that place. Katharine did too--and she is gorgeous. I was so happy for those two. Kellie... I don't like or dislike her. But seriously... she's never had salmon before?

That was so dumb. You can get salmon in a can. You can get it frozen in a TV dinner. You can get it at TGIFridays. I think she's just not an adventurous eater.

I find Melissa boring. I love Paris, Katharine and Mandisa, Kellie is a given, and I want to see what Lisa and Ayla can do because I'm not sure we've seen all of it yet. But Kennik and Melissa I don't think have more to offer here.
