Pleased, yet bored out of my fucking mind.
Oct. 2nd, 2005 07:45 pmThe Sox made it to the post season, so I'm very pleased and dusting off the "believe" icon for the duration. Hey, I sit nicely while you lot yammer merrily away about cricket, so y'all will just have to put up with the baseball. At least we're in the post-season, so there isn't all this, "if Boston wins but the Indians lose and the 10:15 to Kookamonga is more than 5 minutes late then the Los Angeles clinches the wild card" stuff that baseball wonks love and non-fans find bizarre.
Also pleasing is the excellent shopping
ali_wildgoose and I did yesterday. She got rocking shoes and makeup; I got a beautiful bag, bracelet and hair thing. We followed up our 100% successful expedition with a fun book swap at
calloocallay's flat. Even more fun than picking up new books is watching two people fight over a book you brought.
Meanwhile I am reading the most boring book ever about the Federalist era, clocking in at 750 pages, and with my blue pencil I could easily cull it down to 300. Skim city. All this even though I have a crush on Alexander Hamilton!
