jlhThe sore throat of Saturday night - Sunday has become sneezing, congestion and a scratchy cough. Eventually it will settle into a productive cough, and then it will go away. Until then I am tempting my nearly vanished appetite with broccoli and cheese soup at lunch, though all I could manage to face at dinner tonight was some sweet potato fries and a bit of babaganooj.
My office mate had this cold before me and worked from home on Friday; when I came in on Monday morning I said, in my barely-audible rasp, "I guess I shouldn't have made out with you at that work party on Thursday." He, being one of the funniest people I know, immediately replied with, "Oh Clio, I hate to tell you, but you were one of many." I rewarded him with Kozy Shack chocolate pudding to soothe our ravaged throats. Him, I will miss.

ali_wildgoose not been by to give me a pie (because she is a dear) I might have filled that hole with House, as I did in March and April when VM was in reruns. I think I would have been able to resist love's young dream (Brit & K-Fed).
I find myself going through a rather cynical phase at the moment. I am sure it will pass.
