I think it can be, but then, I'm rather odd. I like my erotica to be closer to the real world and coming from an emotional place rather than being as formulaic as it usually is. Then again, erotica for me is only half about being hot; the other half is about being interesting and hopefully true in some way. But then possibly I am more wanting erotic fiction than actual erotica.
The funny thing is that the sub is only magnificent in their subjugation. It isn't that they are, generally, incredibly beautiful or have an amazing body or whatever, but that they are a really good sub. But below this comment there is something interesting about being a natural that I think comes closer to what is going on.
