So it's a long weekend, but my plans don't start until tomorrow, and today I was feeling a little under the weather, so I didn't actually leave my house. So I continued my battle against clutter, in preparation for people actually, like, staying here next weekend. Only this was the hidden clutter—I went through everything that was stored in a box someplace and decided if I wanted it. I never knew I had so many RCA and telephone cords. AND, I dusted and did two loads of dishes.

Now I'm thinking about what to put in my backpack for Sunday-Monday, and can I just say how much I love my ipod? Because it used to be I had to spend about 30 minutes packing CDs. But not any more! Whee!

Man. I'm doing laundry in preparation to come to NY next week. I didn't realize I had this many clothes. I have to do that before I attack clutter. :))

See, what happened was, I had a big pile of books on my floor, and they needed to get put away only there was no place to put them. So then I had the bright idea to put my cookbooks in my pantry, which is in my closet, but that meant cleaning out my closet, and then once I started I couldn't stop. I'm like, obsessed with clutter, I swear to G-d. But I think you get into a groove or something.

Man, I am just NOT a naturally tidy person, and the only reason that things get put away is that I WILL NEVER FIND THEM if I don't put them away. Everything has to have a place, etc. etc. etc.

Besides, there will be people here on Friday! So the place has to be at least decent, yeah?

And thank you! A good friend drew it, and I'm very flattered that she did, as she is incredibly talented and good people as well.

I am much with the envy of your iPod-ed-ness. Am striving to bring as little as possible with me on the train, so am thinking that cd's may be cut out. *weeps*

You have to bring CDs or the train trip will be HELL of listening to everyone else's horrible conversations. No. Pack the CDs.
