The short version: I pretty much walked from my apartment in Manhattan to the Avocado, which is well into an outer borough. This involved walking across a bridge. It took me about 5 hours door to door, but a lot of that was spent waiting, so let's say 3 1/2 hours of actual transit. A little while after I arrived, Holly whisked us away to her house which has power an all those nice things. As I sit here typing, I don't know if I have power or not. The phones at my office are not working so I'm thinking that nothing is happening there; no one has called and when I logged into my work AIM name, no one was online around 11:30am. So, extra summer Friday for me!

Cell service seems to be working fairly well right now. I'm going to see if I can get my email on my palm. Text is your best way to reach me, likely, or calling me. Hugs to everyone.
