This is the entry about LJ.
Jul. 15th, 2006 03:24 pmFirst, getting some quizzes out of the way: I'm always an INFP. My aura is blue. Also in HP quizzes I'm always Remus Lupin.
About LJ, let me start with the positive: my favorite page ever on LJ, Manage! From there I can do almost anything that I would ever want to do, so as long as they have the unified Manage page I will be a happy little LJ camper. Check it out; you might find it useful, too! When I find an area of LJ really useful, I make a link and put it in my links list—tags, memories, comments, poll code, Manage!—so I guess I already created a kind of nav bar for myself.
I think it's understandable to get a little irritable when things change in an environment that you've put a lot of effort into setting up just as you want it. When some feature goes from being an option to being a default, and you turn it off, and then it gets turned on again, that's understandably frustrating. Personally, I wish that there was a setting that said that I could get the nav bar ONLY on other people's LJs, because it's easier that way to navigate back to my own LJ after wandering off to leave a comment someplace. Other than that, I just don't find the features on the nav bar (or My LJ, for that matter) to be useful for the way I use LJ. But if you love them, then that's great!
