Sometimes you don't know how strong you are until you look back and realize that you actually survived something pretty horrible. And I'm finding that the manner in which you managed to survive doesn't matter as much as the fact that you did survive. So, ladies, I salute you all, though as Lincoln said rather better than I, you are far above my poor power to add or detract.

On an entirely different matter, these comments from the end of June are pretty whack, and those of you who know what I was up to online in the end of June will realize why I'm thinking they are pretty damn creepy, all things considered.

This weekend I did yet more cleaning and plotting. All there is left to clean in my apt is the oven, but there is much, much more to plot. Also had dinner with friends Saturday night and the usual Six Feet Under on Sunday. As Cassie said, I sense the sharks receding. PTSD, much more interesting than whee, crack addict.

Ugh, August is being its usual bitchy self, isn't it?

Also, hello, David? Why didn't you tell me about [livejournal.com profile] deamus?

Lacheycest?

So I was sitting here watching this week's Nick and Jessica, and, um.

Now, many of you know that I have a great love of Nick (hisloveissolongsuffering) but I'm also a bit obsessed with Drew (I mean, WHAT DOES HE DO?). On this week's episode, while Jessica was shooting a video for Angel (and I'm sorry, does anyone need a cover of that song? Didn't Robbie do it the best? Do we need to hear that at even more weddings?) Nick brought Drew along to a celebrity surfing invitational. They went white water rafting with a guide who claimed his parents were cannibals, and then took some surfing lessons, and then Nick, after several falls, caught a great wave during his turn.

So then Nick and Drew are standing on the porch or whatever and kidding about how paradise is a lot of hard work.
N: The last time I was here was for my honeymoon and it was very romantic.
D: And this time it was even more romantic!
N: Yes, sleeping next to Drew is . . . *looks at Drew, who laughs* I can't work under these conditions!
And then they gave us a slashy montage, complete with hugs and cute looks, to the tune of "I know I'll never love this way again."

Funniest. Thing. On That Show. EVER.

wah, where is [livejournal.com profile] weatherby? Only she and [livejournal.com profile] maybethemoon can appreciate the depth of my delight.
