Summer is dead. Long live the fall.
Sep. 2nd, 2002 07:19 pmWell, I managed to stay completely offline for nearly 72 hours over the long weekend. I went up to a mountain cabin where I did a small amount of writing, a small amount of drinking, and played a great deal of Rummikub, which I think is a sort of bastardized version of Mah Jhong. I am very pleased that I managed to escape the city on all three holiday weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day) this summer. Am non-loser social type. Am slowly-but-surely overcoming natural shyness! Go me!
While in the mountains, watched The Siege on video. Some parts were very eerie, too close for comfort really. Other parts--well, I couldn't really hold on to the plot because I was having so much trouble separating truth from fiction. I will be very glad when next week is over and we can get on with things.
Woohoo! Lindsay won!
