On the Emmys
He was really good. I'm only surprised that the show ran long under his watch.
Now nothing will stop him from ruling the world.
However, now I'm all hyped up and will never sleep.
Oh, I also watched him on Larry King off my TIVO and he looked really hot, didn't he? Facial hair just becomes him so. He's like a little muppet with his little head. *pats*
And someone will have to stop me from writing a story in which Ryan wears the Henry VIII costume for Simon.
(countdown to Jon Stewart oscars!)

I'm just sad, though, that I had to remind a few people on my flist that his roots are deep in radio rather than TV, and it's totally unfair to compare him to Conan or Ellen. I didn't see a thing wrong with how he hosted it. Conan even said in the press room afterward that he really thought Ryan did a good job, and that he made it his own (which made me laugh because that's such an AI throwback).
I would've been surprised if it ran long if it was still on NBC or...CBS or whatever network usually has the Emmys. But this is FOX. I wasn't really surprised there. Maybe at how much longer it ran over, but not in general.
I need to find Ryan's Larry King deal on YouTube because I still haven't seen it. :(
NO. WRITE IT. I actually saw him walk out wearing that, and said aloud, "Dude, Clio's so gonna fic him wearing this for Simon." :D

I hadn't really thought about what chaos that production must have been in that they just couldn't find a host at all. I mean, what were they thinking? And as Jon Stewart said, if they were going to do it in the round they should have kept switching up the primary mike so that the winners were facing in different directions all the time. All it really meant was that there was no backstage.
I love that the guys under the stage before the show were watching football.

It needs to be written.

Except for low ratings. Which it would seem that they got. :(

(It happens for the Oscars, too—when there's a popular Oscar film, like titanic or LOTR, the ratings are higher than when there isn't.)
I think he'll probably be asked to do something else as he proved himself to be very competent. I'm not sure why there are so many people who don't like him. I mean, he's cheesy and ridiculous but at least he knows he's cheesy and ridiculous. Never mind that he'd rather produce.

He pulls off that shit because he's so deadpan.
