Dear Yuletide Writer,

First, THANK YOU. I think of Yuletide as more of an opportunity to write something a little different than request something to exacting specifications, so whatever you write is more like a totally awesome bonus than the entire reason I'm participating. In other words, NO PRESSURE. This, and my comments on the assignment, are really just suggestions in case you'd like some.

The most important thing really is no deathfic and I prefer a happy ending. I don't mind working for the happy ending; angst that ends well is splendid. Downer endings, though, kinda bum me out. I'm not a freak about plot—in many of the stories I love nothing really happens except maybe an internal change in a character or an emotional realization. Characters are always more important to me than plot and I adore great conversation. So feel free to have them just sitting around drinking coffee and talking about great Heart songs, or have them find a way to Save the World from Certain Destruction, or anything in between! I've asked for women or pairs of women, but while femslash is welcome it isn't expected and certainly not required.

If you want more of a sense of the sort of stories I adore, since Yuletide is its own animal, you can check out the Yuletide stories I've bookmarked and also the ones that I've received (anything here that was posted in December).

This year I wrote quite a bit in the optional details so I don't have more to add—honestly you should feel free to do what you like!

Metropolitan: Audrey Rouget
VERY intrigued by Audrey's story before, during, and after the movie. Entirely up to you whether to include her appearance in Last Days of Disco—feel free to go off in another direction!

I'd love to see more of her friendship with the other ladies in the Sally Fowler Rat Pack, or her seemingly odd friendship with Serena Slocomb, or just what she does with herself in France, or when she comes back, or maybe even how she feels when her own daughter does or doesn't go to her own coming-out balls. Or how she deals with Tom, Nick and Charlie. In Last Days of Disco she's working in publishing which does seem sort of perfect for her, but another future would also be interesting!

Vertigo: Midge Wood and Judy Barton
I was so intrigued by just these two in the character set that I had to request it. Midge has always been my favorite in the film but I love Judy as well. Just about anything that has them interacting would be super fun so long as they aren't enemies hating each other (and I'm definitely open to femslash if you are!).

Look, if you want to give me fix-it fic, I am not saying no to that. I'm not saying no to that AT ALL. But you can also give me a chance meeting between Midge and Judy before the end of the film, or even long before when Judy was a shop girl. Like I said, just about anything would be great!!

Ghostbusters: Erin, Abby, Patty and Jillian
Anything with these four ladies would be amazing. Pre-movie vignettes, post-movie pizza nights, new missions, and whatever level of femslash you do or don't want to include. Just as long as they are all in there and important!

Really just about anything! I admit I'm not the hugest fan of Holtzbert but I do find it charming as long as the other ladies are also given their due.

Carol: Therese, Carol and Abby
I'm so intrigued by Abby and Carol's friendship and previous relationship, and I'm curious as to what Abby will make of Therese once she gets to know her. If you want to minimize Carol and make this mostly about Therese and Abby's interactions that's fine, or Carol and Abby talking about the changes that Therese brought, or whatever path you take to show how the three of them interact after the events of the movie—however far in the future you'd like to make that.

Nothing to add here—just go for it!

Mostly, thank you in advance; I know that anything you do will be awesome, because it will mean more fic for one of these fandoms, and isn't that the whole point?
