The constant patronising "all women want kids, honey" thing drives me around the bend

Oh so true. I am so so so tired of this. I enjoy being around certain children for discrete periods of time, but I need a lot of alone time and a lot of quiet time. These things are in opposition to being a parent--particularly since my spouse is the same way.

My uterus has not taken over my brain. The older I get, the fainter the ticking of my (mythical? non-existent) biological clock gets. I don't see a metanoia occurring here...
